Procurement Manager

                                                  £38,106 plus Bonus

         Garden Court, Coventry (Other locations will be considered)

                                   36.25 hours per week

       Fixed-term contract for 24 months with possible option to extend.

Since it was established over 40 years ago the Orbit Group has grown to be one of the largest housing groups in the UK, employing over 1,800 people and managing around 34,000 homes. Due to the increased focus on procurement, we are seeking an experienced Manager to provide best value for money and demonstrate continuous improvement in customer service and performance.

Reporting to the Procurement Director and managing staff, you will lead on a range of procurement projects aimed at delivering value for money and achieving savings targets. This role will give you the opportunity to earn widespread recognition and a very high profile for your contribution to the team by successfully collaborating across the Group and by leading on a range of projects aimed at cutting across traditional methods and delivering better value for all.

Good Project Management skills, managing staff skills as well excellent communication skills in dealing with Senior Management Teams or liaising with internal and external customers and suppliers - will ensure you'll secure the trust and co-operation of all our customers. Knowledge of EC Procurement Directives and Asset Management would be an advantage. MCIPS or working towards would also be an advantage.
